Kitchen Appliance Service Technician - Hot Side (Field Service)

Location: Manhattan & NYC Boroughs

Salary: $30-$40/hr

Type: Full-Time | Field-Based

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hot-Side Kitchen Appliance Service Technician to support commercial clients throughout Manhattan and the NYC boroughs . This is a field service role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial cooking equipment in restaurants, hotels, institutional kitchens, and foodservice facilities.

The ideal technician is customer-focused, technically strong, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced NYC environment.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, and repair hot-side commercial kitchen equipment , including:
Gas & electric ranges
Ovens (convection, deck, combi)
Fryers
Griddles & charbroilers
Steamers & kettles
Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls in the field
Troubleshoot electrical, gas, and mechanical issues efficiently
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
Communicate professionally with kitchen staff, managers, and clients
Accurately document service work, parts used, and time on work orders
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory
Adhere to safety standards, gas codes, and NYC regulations

Qualifications

3+ years of experience servicing commercial hot-side kitchen equipment
Strong electrical and gas troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently in a field service environment
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
EPA certification a plus (not required for hot side)
Factory training or CFESA certification a plus
Comfortable traveling daily throughout Manhattan and boroughs
