Senior Environmental Planning Project ManagerThe Senior Environmental Planning Project Manager will lead utility, water, solar, telecom, and other development projects, acting as a strategic advisor. The role requires attracting and retaining clients while developing strategies to drive company growth and service expansion. Strong leadership and a proven track record in managing complex projects are essential.Essential Job Functions:Lead multidisciplinary teams of professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental planning projectsIndependently manage client relationships, budgets, schedules, and project resourcesTrack and manage project deliverablesAttend and lead project meetingsInteract and coordinate with various clientele, federal, state, local, and tribal agenciesDocument compliance/noncompliance with resource protection measuresConduct background research and data collection to articulate practical recommendations to clients and regulatory agenciesAssist with participation and preparation of new business presentationsReview and approve formal proposals in response to Requests For Proposals (RFP)Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetingsSupport, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright's and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownershipComply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and proceduresOther Duties:Position will require travel as neededJob Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or higher in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Engineering, Archaeology, Architectural History, or closely related field12 years professional experience working in environmental consulting or closely related environmental industryStrong knowledge of NEPA and Siting and Routing StudiesStrong writing and analysis skills with the ability to provide examplesAbility to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlinesHighly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthyWillingness and ability to travel as required by business demandsProven record of successfully managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teamsAbility to interpret contracts and scope of work documents and disseminate information to employeesAbility to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines, as well as working in a team settingEffective communication skills, including:Able to communicate with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technicalVerbal, written, and presentation skillsAbility to train and educate employeesOrganized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthyAbility to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendorsPreferred Experience:Previous managerial experienceFinancial training and/or certificationsProject management training and/or certificationsM.S. degree in environmental planning and/or a closely related disciplineExperience as Environmental Expert WitnessExperience working with or for federal, state, or local agencies is a plusStrong writing and editing skillsOrganizing and facilitating coordination meetings, both in person and virtual, for multi-disciplinary teams across a variety of internal and external partiesPublic outreach and engagementFamiliarity with typical utility operations and maintenance activitiesFamiliarity with Salesforce and ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey123, etc.)Excellent navigation skills and good driving recordExperience driving a four-wheel drive vehicle off-road or in rough terrainEocene Environmental Group, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
