BFT - CGH Social Media/Communications Intern

Social Media/Communications Intern Position: Social Media/Communications Intern – part‑time (10–15 hrs/week). Duration: temporary. Location: hybrid; on‑site at 125 Nashua Street, Boston, MA 02114, with option to work fully remote. Work Shift: day. Pay: $17.71 – $25.28 per hour. Employer: MassGeneralBrigham – MGH Center for Global Health. Role Overview The Intern will support the Center’s social media presence and internal/external communications, creating content, managing platforms, and contributing to newsletters and marketing materials. Key Responsibilities Manage the Center’s presence on YouTube, X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms. Create timely, relevant social‑media content following the CGH Communications Style Guide to boost visibility and engagement. Analyze social‑media metrics, marketing tools, and trends; make recommendations. Produce internal and external communications, including newsletters, year‑in‑review, and other marketing collateral. Ensure all communication pieces align with the CGH Communications Style Guide and MGB Marketing & Branding guidelines. Manage creative project workflows to guarantee timely production and delivery. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or related discipline. Experience working in a non‑profit and/or global public health setting preferred. Proficiency with social‑media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). Experience with Constant Contact, InDesign, Illustrator, Hootsuite, and Canva. Excellent writing and interpersonal skills; ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize. Cross‑cultural sensitivity and ability to build respectful, collaborative relationships. Highly motivated, independent, entrepreneurial; strong attention to detail and perseverance. Physical Requirements Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs; handling and fine manipulation tasks. Frequent foot use and vision. All tasks performed on a regular basis.
