Certified Surgical Tech II - $10k Sign-On Bonus

Job Summary Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Tech II follows established procedural guides in the preparation of sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures, performs appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care, and functions autonomously as a member of the operating room team. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and behaviors consistent with competent practice. Key Responsibilities Fluently follows procedural guides in the preparation of sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures. Performs appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care. Functions autonomously as a member of the operating room team. Assists providers and nurses with vaginal deliveries, supply restocking, instrument flow, front desk customer service, and engagement. Plans collaborative assessments of the needs of the patient and surgeon during the procedure. Applies advanced surgical skills and problem‑solving during emergency situations. Maintains efficiency and sets priorities while managing most situations within clinical specialty. Qualifications Required license: Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC‑ST). If not certified, evidence of continuous employment as a Surgical Technologist in South Carolina before January1,2008 is required. New graduates must obtain certification within 90days of graduation. Basic Life Support required within two weeks of hire and must be maintained thereafter. Minimum Experience and Training High School Diploma. Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or a military program. Minimum one year of work experience as a Certified Surgical Tech. Physical Requirements Lifting up to 50lb unassisted, handling objects 36in tall, and moving 25lb overhead. Standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending, twisting, and squatting continuously. Working in confined spaces, at elevated heights, and in temperature extremes. Using fine motor skills, gross motor activities, and maintaining vision 20/40 corrected.
