Medical Oncologist/Hematologist Opening in Pennsylvania Located in Somerset, PA - Pittsburgh 69mWe are seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our cancer team. We are seeking physicians with excellent clinical skills, interested in delivering high quality care and participating in numerous clinical trials. Join a recently renovated facility on the hospital campus, offering the latest medical oncology treatments and clinical trials. Physicians in the practice are well supported as part of an integrated, physician-led network of clinicians. Work with an experienced team of medical oncologists/hematologists, advanced practice providers, specialized oncology nurses, lab, pharmacy and support staff. Enjoy unprecedented growth in a practice that includes outpatient and inpatient medical consults, chemotherapy, lab and supportive therapy visits. Care is provided in the clinic and hospital Monday - Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. On-call coverage is shared between physician colleagues. Successful candidates should have or be able to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license and be board certified/board eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology. The hospital presently has a complement of medical/surgical beds, pediatric beds, obstetric/gynecology beds, nursery cribs, an intensive coronary care unit, skilled nursing beds, and an adult, adolescent and child neuropsychiatric service with an 18-bed hospital-based unit. Other services currently include medical oncology, a sleep lab, a dialysis center, a cardiac catheterization laboratory, a pain management program, occupational health, and community education. Round the clock emergency care is provided by the hospital. Ancillary services include radiology, laboratory, rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary services, orthopedics, inpatient/outpatient drug and alcohol services and hospice.
