Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced pharmacist seeking a per diem position in a long-term care and mail order pharmacy setting. The role involves working days from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend required, over an 8-week contract period. This position combines patient care, medication management, and supervisory responsibilities in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify over-usage patterns.
• Verify that prescribed medications are appropriate for each patient.
• Maintain confidential patient and pharmacy records with accuracy.
• Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and answer questions.
• Provide additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices including glucose monitors and blood pressure cuffs.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
• Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve drug-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania pharmacy license.
• Previous pharmacy experience required.
• Experience in long-term care and mail order pharmacy preferred.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend rotation
