This role is crucial in ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations while driving continuous improvements in processes and personnel, in alignment with the site’s vision and culture.Key Responsibilities:Prioritize and lead a strong safety culture by implementing and overseeing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering an environment where safety is a core value in all operationsDrive initiatives centered on safety, environmental stewardship and productivity to enhance overall operational excellenceCultivate strong relationships and trust with team members across various organizations to meet both short-term and long-term business objectivesEffectively prioritize and allocate resources to address multiple demandsProvide strategic oversight to two distinct teams managing unique unitsEstablish and communicate clear expectations for all operations staff, ensuring these are consistently metModel and cultivate a work environment that embodies Eastman’s values and competencies, ensuring that all team activities align with the company’s core principles and behaviorsImplement processes that empower employees to achieve their full productive potential in support of organizational goalsProvide leadership to both technical and non-technical team members through coaching, development and accountabilityAttract and develop talent by fostering a positive work environment and offering development opportunities to create a skilled and diverse teamDemonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies to drive business resultsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related field requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including at least 5 years in a management role, requiredStrong knowledge of web handling, automation and warehouse processes preferredHigh emotional intelligence, building relationships and engaging employees at all organizational levels to drive improvementsProven leadership skills demonstrated through effective coaching, development and accountability of employeesStrong decision-making and analytical skills to manage risk and ensure safe, reliable and productive operationsA strong commitment to health, safety and environmental stewardshipExcellent communication skillsKnowledge of SAP is preferredPlease NoteEastman will not accept applicants for this offered position who require visa sponsorship, including those whose status is F-1 visa OPT who subsequently would require ongoing visa sponsorship.BenefitsYour total rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.
