And we invest in our world-class team, empowering our colleagues to unpack their potential, because we believe when our people grow, so does our business.To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit I LinkedIn I Glassdoor I Facebook I YouTubeJob DescriptionThe primary purpose of the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties for the Engineer department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement.WHAT YOU GET TO DOGeographic Scope: United StatesNumber of colleagues directly reporting to this job: 0Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their priorityComplete 3D designs for new, and existing machine components, fabrications and assemblies.Translate 3D models into detailed drawings with an eye for detailCreate machine documentation from BOMs for manufacture through to parts manuals and after-sales service.Layouts in AutoCAD for potential customersCreate presentations of the equipment in PowerPoint using 3D SolidWorks models that we provideAssist with creation of operational manuals for the existing equipmentAssist with looking for the local suppliers for some parts (if required in the future)WHAT WE VALUECore attributes: Technical knowledge in a few of the following: 2D 3D CAD Design, Automation, Robotics, Mechanical Design and Fabrication.Technical Expertise: contributes to the design, development and implementation of technical solutions to new or highly complex problems that cannot be solved using existing methods. Uses a forward looking approach when analyzing and implementing technical solutions.Project Management: Effective team contributor; provides appropriate feedback and helps motivate team members to work toward common goals. Ability to recognize and respond proactively to project challenges and draws upon appropriate resources from other functional areas as needed to mitigate risk.Communication: Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills when engaging with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits. The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, including CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations. Compensation for roles performed outside of these jurisdictions may vary.
