Onsite Lab Support Clerk
$17.75 - $22 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks an Onsite Lab Support Clerk for its Chicago location to prepare laboratory specimens, manage patient data, and communicate with client staff in a fast-paced diagnostic testing environment. The role operates primarily evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Perform accurate data entry of patient information and specimen labeling
- Pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
- Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen-related issues
- Perform specimen processing tasks including spinning, freezing, and splitting as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of laboratory, accessioning, data entry, or manufacturing experience
- Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Compensation: $17.75 - $22.00 per hour, eligible for second shift differential
