Lab Coordinator - Media Center Support

Overview The Media Center Support Coordinator is part of the Media Studios Organization at Northeastern University’s College of Arts, Media, and Design (CAMD). The role supports the daily operation of the Media Center, CAMD’s media equipment library, and manages equipment loans and the center’s printing workflow. Responsibilities Manage and operate the Web Checkout reservation and inventory software platform. Maintain, organize, and process equipment loans to students, faculty, and staff; move and store equipment, and order repair inventory. Assist with managing a team of Media Center work‑study students. Assist in acquiring new media equipment and retiring old equipment. Create and maintain a knowledge bank for the Media Center. Lead workshops for faculty and students on proper use of Media Center equipment. Document Media Center best practices. Manage digital, email, and phone communications for the center. Assist with maintenance and operation of CAMD’s darkroom facility. Collaborate frequently with staff in Production Studios, Immersive Media Lab, Makerspaces, and other creative spaces. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a media‑centered field. At least 3 years of related experience preferred. Experience with DSLR cameras, audio recording devices, video production equipment, and lighting equipment. Optional but preferred: experience with Epson wide‑format printers (training provided). Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Compensation & Benefits Position Type: Research. Pay Range: $53,615.00 – $75,728.75.
