Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience worked in the last 3 years.

• 12 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >80 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: AMN Program - ECU Health (Vidant Health) and no current placement allowed at Program: AMN Program - ECU Health (Vidant Health).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Required Credentials: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), any issuing body, required after submission.

Special Requests: Upon accepting an offer, you will be assigned Relias exams that must be taken immediately (within 48hrs). If you fail the exam twice, this may result in an immediate cancellation by the facility.

Floating Requirements: Float between ECU Medical Center, Beaufort, and Duplin. Beaufort Hospital is about 35 minutes from ECU Medical Center and Duplin Hospital is about 60 minutes from ECU Medical Center. Float assignment location is sent by email the day of the shift at around 0400 or 1640. May float to intermediate/stepdown and all inpatient units of skill level and below; ICU - 1:2, Intermediate 1:4 - 1:6.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 10/31/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/24/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
