Patient Financial Services Analyst

Position Summary

• Performs various system functions relating to software and hardware in the department. Liaison between systems in the office, our I.S. Department and the system's vendor, when needed.

Primary Position Responsibilities

• Facilitate and execute Electronic Claim Submission from HIS System through Billing Scrubber.

• Test all software updates to various systems used, to ensure uninterrupted claim submission and cash flow.

• Demonstrates excellent and independently executed time management skills.

• Educates staff on new processes.

• Runs system reports and analysis as requested by the Director of the Business Office.

• Meets all productivity and quality standards as set by the Director of the Business Office.

• Perform special projects and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education :
  • Required:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred:
    • Associate's Degree in Computer Technology, or Business
    • Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training in Computer/IS related field.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Technology, or Business
• Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) :
  • Required:
    • 3 to 5 year's business related experience; or computer/I.S. related computer experience
  • Preferred:
    • Hospital experience in a Business Office or Finance Office setting.
• License, Registry or Certification :
  • Required:
    • None
  • Preferred:
    • Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCS-1)
• Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities :
  • Required:
    • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Preferred:
    • Hospital and/or Physician Office experience; Organizational skills, excellent Time Management skills
