Position Summary

• Responsible for ensuring that insurance requirements and financial obligations are obtained and/or communicated to patients for collection of elective hospital services prior to date service and/or billing. Responsible for ensuring that insurance requirements and financial obligations are obtained and/or communicated to patients for collection of elective hospital services and physician practices as required prior to date of service and/or billing.

Primary Position Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits.

• Secures precertification.

• Completes Insurance Notifications.

• Medical necessity verification.

• Communicates financial responsibility to patients for scheduled procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education :

• Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) :

  • Preferred:
    • One year of medical office/hospital registration/patient accounting experience

    • PC Skills, Excellent Customer service skills, Detailed oriented, Multi-tasking skills
