This position will assist in the build of the U.S. commercial law function by becoming an elite member of a team designed to be the go-to legal partner to a dynamic group of business stakeholders.**WHAT YOU’LL DO****Here are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better:*** Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of domestic and international commercial agreements, including marketing, merchandising, manufacture, transportation, supply chain, technology, licensing, fuel, consulting, and other operational agreements.* Provide practical solutions-based legal counsel to various national and international business stakeholders on a wide variety of legal and business issues.* Assist in the creation, implementation, and refinement of forms, processes, procedures and systems to support the effective delivery of enterprise commercial legal support.* Work cross-functionally with teams across the company to analyze legal risks, devise creative solutions, and develop trusted advisor relationships.* Educate business partners with regard to key legal, risk, competition, compliance, data privacy, and regulatory considerations, both in day-to-day interactions and in structured training sessions.* Maintain an understanding of Circle K’s strategic objectives, products, and services.* Monitor and communicate legal developments that would impact the company’s business lines to proactively help business partners “see around corners”.**WHAT YOU’LL NEED****We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for:**REQUIREMENTS* Bar admission and license to practice to law in the U.S., member in good standing.EDUCATION* Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Bar admission and license to practice law in the U.S., member in good standing.JOB EXPERIENCE* 3- 5 years of experience (in-house and law firm).* Experience in structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements and identifying key issues and risks, preferably with experience in general commercial transactions and business counseling.
