Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) – Vaccines: Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas The Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) is a credentialed medical professional (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP) with expertise in vaccines and vaccine‑preventable diseases. The role engages in bidirectional scientific exchange with Scientific Leaders (SLs), provides balanced scientific information about non‑product areas, responds to SL inquiries, and liaises between the scientific community and the Company to enhance understanding of the Company’s trials and research studies. Responsibilities Scientific Exchange Develop professional rapport and engage with national and regional SLs to ensure access to medical and scientific information on vaccine‑preventable diseases and Company products. Conduct peer‑to‑peer scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence with SLs to ensure they have a medical contact. Gather feedback, data, or information during routine activities to help the Company better comprehend medical or scientific needs, priorities, or concerns of SLs and/or patients. Maintain current knowledge of the dynamic scientific and clinical environment in the Company’s Areas of Interest (AOI). Address scientific questions and direct SL inquiries on issues outside the RMSD scope to appropriate company resources consistent with policies. Scientific Congress Support Engage in scientific congresses and medical meetings, facilitate scientific and data exchange for both Company and competitor data. Research Activities Initiate discussions with SLs and/or potential investigators for scientific/data exchange within AOIs to determine alignment with research strategies, study concepts, scientific merit, and qualifications for specific compounds or trials. Enhance understanding of the scientific foundations and goals of investigator‑sponsored research. Identify barriers to patient enrollment and retention to achieve study milestones. Recommend study sites and identify potential investigators for phase II‑IV clinical development programs, conduct Site Initiation Visits (SIVs), and address investigator questions regarding participation in Company‑sponsored clinical studies. Requirements Minimum Education – MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or DNP. Minimum Experience & Skills Minimum three years of experience in vaccines and vaccine‑preventable diseases beyond terminal degree training. Ability to conduct doctoral‑level discussions with key external stakeholders. Dedication to scientific excellence and strong focus on scientific education and dialogue. Strategic and effective stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills. Comprehensive understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other regulatory guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access). Consistent adherence to field and corporate policies, global Medical Scientific Affairs strategy, and standard operating procedures. Preferred Experience & Skills Field‑based medical affairs experience. Relevant therapeutic area experience. Demonstrated record of scientific/medical publication. Research experience. Travel Requirements Up to 50% travel with some overnight stays. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $190,800.00 – $300,300.00.
