Sourcing Specialist II - Global Ops

Location: US-MA-Marlborough Hybrid Work Model: Employees will work in our local office at least three days per week. As a core member of the Indirect Sourcing team, the Indirect Sourcing Specialist leads the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned categories within Global Facilities that support Boston Scientific's worldwide operations. In partnership with stakeholders across Global Operations, this role ensures sourcing strategies are aligned with organizational goals and operational needs, while championing meaningful innovation, high performance, and global collaboration. The incumbent will manage a broad portfolio of services including managed facility services, security services, and construction services to achieve sustainable cost reductions, mitigate supply chain risk, and drive overall business objectives. The role operates with moderate guidance and is responsible for independently managing initiatives from strategy through execution. Responsibilities Serving as a trusted advisor and partner to internal stakeholders to identify business needs and align sourcing strategies; ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities. Leading global RFI/RFP processes including development, supplier engagement, bid analysis, and contract negotiations with facility service providers in conjunction with internal stakeholders. Collaborating with stakeholders to forecast and consolidate demand; identify and implement opportunities to reduce demand, optimize spend and implement cost reduction initiatives. Gathering and analyzing global spend data, market trends, and supply chain risks to identify and implement innovative solutions, optimize value improvement opportunities and cost savings. Negotiating value improvements and optimizing supplier contracts to ensure balanced engagement and competitive advantage. Managing strategic supplier relationships via performance reviews, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Integrating key pillars of indirect sourcing strategy, including cost leadership, supplier innovation, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability. Promoting a work environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field; equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of procurement experience with a strong focus on facility-based operations. Experience with contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing methodologies. Experience managing global supplier relationships including performance, and service optimization. Experience driving value improvement programs. Preferred Qualifications Effective project management, presentation and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Tableau, SAP, Ariba, or similar systems. Proficient in AI applications (CoPilot, ChatGPT, Deep Research, etc.). Ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Compensation Requisition ID: 630750 Minimum Salary: $75100 Maximum Salary: $142600 The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see – will vary based on the actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
