Senior GCP Java Developer

Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Big Data technologies. This role involves contributing to cloud transformation projects, developing high-quality, robust, and maintainable code, and working within an enterprise architecture environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Write very high-quality code that is robust and easy to maintain.
- Work with deployment and orchestration technologies such such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Jenkins.
- Set up and design standard IT security practices including Encryption, Certificates, and Key management.
- Apply expertise with different architecture and design patterns and tools.
- Collaborate effectively with Technical and Application Architects.
- Engage in modern software development life cycles, including CI/CD.
- Contribute to big-scale Batch Application Platforms and large batch processing environments.
- 10+ years' experience in Information Technology, with 2+ years in an Enterprise Architecture environment.
- Experience with Cloud transformation projects.
- Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience on software development life cycles.
- Extensive Java / J2EE design and development experience.
- Proficiency with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Experience with Response UI Frameworks (JQWidgets/JQuery), RESTful APIs, OAuth, IAM.
- Detailed knowledge of modern software development life cycles including CI / CD.
- Experience with source code control management systems (e.g., SVN/Git, Subversion) and build tools like Maven, Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, XP, Kanban).
- Knowledge of software development best practices such as TDD (e.g., JUnit) and continuous integration.
- Proficiency in Linux command line and shell scripting languages, Python, Node.js, JavaScript.
- Experience with Relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, including writing SQLs and SQL tuning.
- Understanding of Cloud computing and SaaS (Software as a Service).
- Experience with Atlassian tooling (JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience working in financial services.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop.
- Experience in GCP cloud native development, including Dataflow, DataProc, Streaming, PubSub, Storage, GKE, GCE, and BigQuery.
- 8-10 years of overall experience required.
- 10+ years' experience in Information Technology.
- 2+ years in an Enterprise Architecture environment.
