Whether you’re caring for children or powering the systems and partnerships that make it all possible, at Bright Horizons, you’re the difference.The Campus Security Officer will foster a safe and secure working environment for all employees, clients, and visitors.This is an unarmed position.Schedule Availability:Part Time Schedule for Bright Horizons at Ballard Blocks: Monday - Friday, 2pm to 6pmPart Time Schedule for Bright Horizons at West Seattle: Monday - Friday, 2pm to 6pmResponsibilities:Maintain access control over designated access points, responsible for visitor access managementUtilize video surveillance systemsConduct tours / patrols of the interior and exterior premisesDetect and deter illicit activity, including loitering, trespass and other transient activityAssists clients, business visitors and guestsRespond to security, facilities and medical emergenciesMay visit and respond to other Centers in the vicinityRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED3 years of security officer experience operating in a full time capacity, which may include military or law enforcement servicePrior de-escalation trainingFirst Aid / CPR / AED certificationsPersonal transportationThis is an unarmed positionAt this time, Bright Horizons will not sponsor an applicant for employment authorization/visa for this position.Preferred Qualifications:Associates degree in criminal justice or related disciplineExperience working in a fast paced environment and ability to deal with shifting prioritiesExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required, including de-escalationMust be proficient in MS OfficeExperience conducting security duties in a school or childcare settingExperience utilizing surveillance cameras and access control programsASIS membershipState security license / certificationBe part of a community where people grow, futures are shaped, and lives are changed. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening.
