Managing Attorney

Gourjian Law, a full-service boutique firm specializing in business and real estate transactions and litigation, and serving as outside general counsel is seeking an experienced and confident Managing Attorney to take ownership of the firm's legal work, client relationships, and associate team. This is a senior, high-level role for someone who can operate with full authority over how matters are handled, who handles them, and how the firm's client relationships and reputation are maintained and grown. Key Responsibilities Legal Work Oversight — Take ownership of all legal work handled by the firm, ensuring quality, consistency, and sound judgment across matters. Client Relationships — Maintain and deepen the firm's long‑standing client relationships, serving as a trusted point of contact and senior voice on matters. Delegation & Workflow — Delegate matters and tasks across the associate team, ensuring the right work is in the right hands. Associate Development — Mentor and manage associates, oversee performance and growth, and help build a strong, capable team. Revenue Generation — Drive high‑level business development, expanding relationships with existing clients and bringing in new work for the firm. Qualifications Licensure — J.D. and active license to practice law in California. Experience — 10+ years of experience with demonstrated leadership and client relationship management experience. Leadership — Proven ability to manage people and complex legal work with a high degree of autonomy. Business Development — A track record of generating and growing business. Judgment — Excellent judgment, confidence, and communication skills, both internally and with clients.
