Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged learners in Calabasas, CA, for the 2026–2027 school year. You'll work as an itinerant Special Education teacher, providing essential support across two school locations on different days. Manage a diverse caseload of 22–23 students with mild to moderate needs, delivering tailored education plans and collaborating with dedicated staff.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• Current and valid California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (required)
• Experience teaching in special education settings, preferably at the elementary level
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and ability to write, implement, and track student progress
• Comfortable traveling between two nearby school sites
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction based on IEPs for elementary students with mild to moderate needs
• Regularly assess student performance, document progress, and adapt instructional approaches
• Effectively collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to special education
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight into student strengths and needs
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere across both sites

This full-time opportunity spans August 24, 2026, through June 9, 2027, with a competitive pay range of $40–$55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
