About Us

Sam's Air Control is a fast-growing HVAC company serving residential and commercial customers across New Jersey. Our sales team is expanding, and we're looking for a dedicated Sales Manager to lead it to the next level.

The Role

You'll be the full-time leader of our sales team — driving performance, refining process, and supporting our Comfort Advisors day-to-day. You'll own the numbers: close rates, average ticket, rehash, and financing attachment.

Responsibilities

Lead and coach the Comfort Advisor team through performance tracking, ride-alongs, and training on in-home sales process, product knowledge, objection handling, and closing technique
Handle authority closes — step in on deals that need a senior voice
Direct and guide the sales lead coordinators to keep follow-ups tight so no lead falls through the cracks
Own and improve key metrics: close rates, average ticket, rehash/lost-lead recovery, and financing utilization
Serve as the sales team's go-to for all questions — technical or not, including OBR/rebate programs and financing options
Manage personnel: hiring input, accountability, and development of the sales team
Partner with the office to continuously tighten the sales process end-to-end

What We're Looking For

Proven experience managing an in-home/residential sales team
Strong understanding of the in-home sales process and closing
Demonstrated ability to coach salespeople and improve performance
Track record of improving close rates, average ticket, and overall sales results
Strong leadership and communication skills
Confident, charismatic, and able to earn the respect of a sales team
Comfortable holding people accountable and having difficult conversations when necessary
Strong understanding of sales metrics and performance tracking
Experience with lead nurturing and follow-up processes
Comfortable with financing programs, rebates, and utility incentive programs (OBR)
HVAC or home-services experience strongly preferred
ServiceTitan experience is a plus
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
