VP, Operational Accounting

Publicly traded REIT Environment | Executive Leadership Opportunity Incentives: Generous annual cash bonus and long-term equity compensation A leading publicly traded real estate company is seeking a Vice President – Operational Accounting to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and operational integration for a large-scale healthcare portfolio. This highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to partner directly with executive leadership, asset management, investments, FP&A, and operating partners to drive financial excellence and support long-term portfolio growth. This position is ideal for an experienced finance executive who combines strong public company accounting expertise with the ability to lead teams, improve processes, and influence strategic business decisions. What You’ll Do Executive Leadership & Strategic Oversight Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Operational Accounting organization supporting a complex healthcare portfolio Establish and execute strategic initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, scalability, and operational excellence Drive standardization and continuous improvement across accounting processes, systems, and internal controls Serve as a key business partner to senior leadership on financial and operational initiatives Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for operating properties and joint ventures Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and public company disclosure standards Support and review Form 10-Q and Form 10-K reporting requirements Provide executive-level oversight and analysis across: Balance sheet and income statement performance Cash flow and distribution reporting Capital expenditure tracking and forecasting Joint Venture & Operator Management Oversee financial reporting relationships with third-party operating partners Review operator financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting packages Lead preparation and presentation of financial packages for joint venture partners and stakeholders Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Significant public company accounting and financial reporting experience Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance requirements Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Career Climbers
