Want to help feed incarcerated individuals, support farmers and heal the planet? We have a variety of volunteer roles available that support Nutrition INSIDE's mission to ensure that all individuals inside and out , have access to nourishing food.
We begin by supporting farmers, grocery stores, and food recovery nonprofits in managing their surplus food. Recognizing that no one wants to see food go to waste, we are here to ensure it finds a meaningful purpose.
♻️ By collecting and redistributing this food, we help farmers track their positive impact through metrics like total GHG emissions avoided (tons of CO2e) and total water footprint reduction (gallons). As a nonprofit, our food providers' donations are tax deductible!
Our final step is delivering this surplus directly to prisons and community partners, providing high-quality, dignified food to underserved and inaccessible populations across Oregon.
