Responsibilities

• Provide fundamental nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately according to facility policy.
• Monitor and record vital signs; recognize changes in condition and report promptly to supervising RN.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Support wound care and dressing changes as directed; promote skin integrity and safety.
• Maintain accurate notes in the electronic medical record and ensure timely, clear communication with the care team.

Requirements

• Current New Mexico LPN license
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
• CPR/BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of licensed practical nursing experience in long-term care or geriatric care preferred
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12) in a long-term care environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow care plans and document promptly
