As our first dedicated senior-level recruiter, you'll help shape how we attract, engage, and hire talent as Bennett & Pless and our sister company, BPL, continue to grow. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, relationship-oriented, and driven to find great talent. We are looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our team and lead full-cycle recruiting across the Engineering, BIM/CAD, and Corporate Administration teams at Bennett & Pless and BPL.

This role owns full-cycle recruiting for current hiring needs, partners directly with hiring leaders to understand what they need, and develops and executes the recruiting strategy. You will engage strong candidates and drive searches through offer acceptance. You will work closely with our Sr. Talent Manager and HR partners throughout the recruiting process, drawing on their expertise and partnership to help bring the right talent into the organization.

Full-Cycle Recruiting, Sourcing & Pipeline Development

• Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and build relationships with passive candidates for current and future hiring needs, as well as active openings in Engineering, BIM, and Corporate Administration.
• Own the full recruiting process from intake through offer acceptance, including sourcing strategy, candidate engagement, screening, interview coordination, and offer development, negotiation, and closing.
• Use market insights, candidate intelligence, and pipeline activity to advise on talent availability, hiring challenges, recruiting priorities, and adjustments to the recruitment strategy.

Candidate Engagement

• Lead candidate outreach, screening, and qualification conversations by asking thoughtful questions, uncovering candidate motivations, and assessing technical qualifications, career goals, and long-term fit.
• Evaluate candidate experience, capabilities, communication style, and alignment with organizational values and role expectations.
• Create a thoughtful, responsive candidate experience that reflects the professionalism and culture of Bennett & Pless.

Business Partnership & Recruiting Operations

• Serve as a trusted recruiting partner to the Sr. Talent Manager and hiring leaders, helping clarify role needs and candidate profiles while providing guidance on market conditions, candidate trends, and recruiting strategy.
• Partner with the Sr. Talent Manager on technical searches where engineering expertise, market relationships, or additional sourcing support can accelerate and/or strengthen the search.
• Coordinate screening, interview steps, offers, and pre-employment activities with the HR Coordinator.
• Partner with hiring leaders to develop and close competitive offers, bringing insight into the candidate's expectations and market conditions, and engaging HR leadership for support when needed.
• Maintain accurate ATS records, track pipeline activity, and use recruiting data to support process improvements, reporting, and hiring leader visibility.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 8+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, including full-cycle recruiting, proactive sourcing, screening, candidate assessment, offer development, negotiation, and closing.
• 3+ years of recruiting engineers or other technical/professional talent.
• Demonstrated success in proactively identifying and engaging passive candidates, with the initiative and persistence to build relationships and generate interest in opportunities.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, ATS platforms, referrals, market mapping, and other creative sourcing strategies.
• Ability to quickly learn and effectively communicate our business, culture, and career opportunities in a way that attracts and engages top talent in a competitive market.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions, uncover candidate motivations, and build credibility with candidates and hiring leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of responsiveness, urgency, collaboration, and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting within the AEC industry or a related professional services environment.
• Familiarity with growth-stage organizations or teams experiencing rapid hiring needs.
• Experience improving recruiting processes, metrics, reporting, or talent acquisition programs.
