Job Description

Surface Preparation: Clean, degrease, and blast surfaces (using aluminum oxide or steel grit) to achieve the necessary surface roughness for bonding.
Coating Application: Operate hand-held or automated spray guns to apply metal particles to create corrosion-resistant or wear-resistant layers.
Equipment Maintenance: Set up, adjust, and maintain thermal spray guns, hoses, feeders, and blast equipment.
Quality Control: Measure coating thickness using instruments like micrometer calipers and inspect for defects.
Safety Compliance: Wear proper PPE (respirators, heat-resistant gear) and ensure proper ventilation, as work involves high heat and noise.
