B Mechanic 3rd Shift
Location: Washington, PA Work Model: Onsite (3rd Shift: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM) Position Type: Full-Time
The B Mechanic 3rd Shift is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery used in manufacturing electrical products. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports production efficiency, and maintains a strong focus on safety and preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery
- Maintain and support automated production lines and equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance, lubrication, and inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues
- Assist with equipment changeovers and setup
- Support loading of materials (e.g., coils) onto production lines
- Perform hot work tasks (welding, cutting, brazing)
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols including lockout/tagout and machine safeguarding
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely
- Support daily production operations and continuous improvement initiatives
Must-Have Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Hands-on experience with mechanical tools and equipment
- Willingness to work 3rd shift, weekends, and overtime
- Strong focus on workplace safety
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices
- Experience with automated production equipment
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Familiarity with machine safety, lockout/tagout, and industrial safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with power presses, clampers, tappers, and automated lines
- Exposure to welding, brazing, and cutting operations
- Experience in industrial manufacturing environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with continuous learning mindset
