B - Mechanic - 3rd Shift

Location: Washington, Pennsylvania Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM 7:00 AM) Employment Type: Full-Time GEIS CHD division is seeking a skilled B Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery used to produce commercial electrical products. This role requires competency in operating and repairing production equipment, including automated production lines, clampers, tappers, screwdrivers, and power presses.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain production line and other equipment efficiently.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks with a focus on safe operation of tools.
• Assist in loading coils on automated lines and performing welder, production line, and equipment changeovers.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance, lubrication, and power press inspections.
• Perform basic electrical tasks safely.
• Execute hot work permit tasks (welding, cutting, brazing).
• Promote and practice a safe working environment (fire safety, fall protection, lifting systems, crane and lift truck operations).
• Ensure machine safeguarding and adhere to lock-out/tag-out protocols.
• Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Knowledge and experience with hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Team player with willingness to learn and progress in the trade.

Position Criteria

• Willingness to work any shift, including weekends.
• Availability for overtime, including weekends.
