About the Position

The average daily census is 21, with a total of 25 beds in the unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. The role involves the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. The RN will be responsible for IV insulin protocols, arterial line management, and blood product administration. Nurses will manage central lines and PICC lines, as well as perform phlebotomy. Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration are required. The RN will also be involved in ventilator management and care for patients with multisystem organ failure. Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. The nurse will be required to float within the service line as necessary. No specific additional certifications are required beyond those listed. This role does not involve the administration of chemotherapy. All procedures and protocols are in compliance with hospital policies. Infection prevention and isolation precautions must be observed at all times. Responsibility includes working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.
