As an Armed Security Officer for a Transportation Facility in El Paso, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients, passengers, and transportation personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transportation facilities, vehicle areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transportation staff and emergency responders when needed. Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site procedures, and Allied Universal policies. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. A valid firearms permit is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
