As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Sun 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other individuals at a government corrections location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, policy violations, or facility concerns to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel. Prepare clear and accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal policies. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid armed guard card or license. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
