Manufacturing Associate - 1st Shift - Otay Mesa Location

Job Description

Join our team as a Manufacturing Associate, where you will play a crucial role in the production of rubber seals, primarily for the aerospace industry. Your tasks will include trimming excess rubber, inspecting parts for defects, and painting grooves in parts using glue and small brushes.

Responsibilities

• Trim off excess rubber from parts.
• Inspect and check parts for any defects.
• Paint grooves in parts with glue using small brushes.
• Perform molding operations as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with small parts and general production.
• Ability to use hand tools effectively.
• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Capability to operate machinery.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a large, open manufacturing setting with a focus on safety and cleanliness. The 2nd shift operates from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. This location includes a machine shop, molding, bonding (machine presses), and warehouse areas. The team consists of 67 people on the 1st shift, 40 on the 2nd shift, and 5 on the 3rd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
