*WHAT YOU'LL DO*

This is a hands-on litigation position offering immediate courtroom experience and significant professional development opportunities.

* Manage a caseload of criminal matters, including DUI's, misdemeanors, gross misdemeanors, and, depending on experience and development, felony cases.
* Represent clients in Washington's Municipal, District, and Superior Courts.
* Draft and argue motions, including evidentiary, suppression, and other pretrial motions.
* Develop case strategy through investigation, legal research, and collaboration with fellow attorneys.
* Negotiate with prosecutors and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.
* Counsel clients through one of the most difficult periods of their lives with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication.
* Learn from and collaborate with a team that includes former prosecutors and highly accomplished criminal defense attorneys.
* Participate in content creation, community engagement, marketing initiatives, and branding efforts that support the continued growth of the firm.
* Maintain the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and client confidentiality.

*REQUIREMENTS*

* Active Washington State Bar License and good standing with the WSBA.
* Experience handling DUI and misdemeanor criminal matters in Washington State courts.
* Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
* Ability and willingness to travel between our Tacoma, Seattle, and Kent offices and courts as needed.

*Preferred Qualifications*

* Criminal law experience through private practice, public defense, prosecution, judicial clerkships, internships, or externships.
* Experience appearing in Municipal, District, and Superior Courts.
* Former prosecutor experience.
* Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in *Spanish*.
* Prior trial advocacy or significant courtroom experience.

This is a full-time salaried position primarily based out of our *Tacoma office*, with opportunities to work in our *Seattle* office as business needs require.
