Material Handler / Forklift Operator
Location: Shelton, CT

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM


We are seeking an experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Shelton. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable supporting both warehouse and production operations.


Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the facility
• Stage orders for production and shipment
• Utilize handheld scanners to track inventory and order movement
• Load and unload trailers
• Move finished pallets from the production floor to designated storage or shipping areas
• Support production operations by ensuring materials are available when needed
• Verify order accuracy and maintain inventory integrity
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with general warehouse and material handling duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience required
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Ability to use scanners and inventory tracking systems
• Experience staging orders and loading trailers
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
