WASHINGTON MGMT CENTER
Overview American Management Association International (“AMA”) is looking for a Conference Center Coordinator who will assist with the seamless execution of all AMA’s training sessions and other hosted events. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities include : Support front-desk team coverage at the conference center Welcome guests (seminar participants, instructors, event hosts and guests, etc.) in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner Responsible for seminar attendance administration and stocking of meeting materials Set up and break down conference/training rooms, and refresh rooms as needed, which may require moving furniture (tables, chairs, etc.), equipment and supplies Support Center team with distribution and collection of supplies and meeting/training materials (flipcharts, markers, paper and pens, etc.) Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and assistance with technology and AV support needs Maintain clean, organized and well-stocked inventory for client beverage stations Set up, replenish, maintain, and breakdown catering buffets Other related tasks Qualifications High school diploma/GED required; additional education preferred 2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality preferred Experience in supporting AV and IT equipment and computer software systems preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office required and Apple iWorks suite preferred Flexible, long, and weekend hours are required, on occasion Proficient in multitasking Portray a polished, professional image according to AMA’s dress code standards More about AmericanManagement Association: AMA’s approach to improving performance combines experiential learning—learning through doing—with opportunities for ongoing professional growth at every step of one’s career journey.
