Salary: $70,000–$105,000 annually, DOE

We are recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer for a growing manufacturing operation in the Farmers Branch/Addison area.

This is a direct-hire opportunity for a Quality Engineer who enjoys being close to the manufacturing process—not sitting behind a desk all day. The person in this role will lead quality improvement initiatives, support new and existing product quality planning, investigate manufacturing quality issues, drive root-cause corrective actions, and help ensure products and processes consistently meet internal and customer requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead Quality Improvement Projects focused on improving product quality and manufacturing performance
• Lead and facilitate the APQP process
• Develop and maintain Control Plans
• Lead and support PPAP activities
• Investigate internal quality problems and manufacturing defects
• Analyze quality data to determine root cause
• Develop and implement corrective actions
• Lead corrective-action investigations involving customer rejections
• Develop inspection, testing, and evaluation standards and methods
• Participate in Quality System Audits
• Review audit results and communicate findings
• Lead corrective actions resulting from audit findings
• Plan and conduct product/component inspection, analysis, testing, and quality validation
• Develop sampling procedures and quality documentation
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to evaluate manufacturing processes and process changes
• Evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of production, testing, and measurement equipment
• Review purchased products and components for quality and supplier performance
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality activities
• Prepare and present quality reports, technical information, and recommendations to management
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement solutions
• Provide technical direction and support to employees involved in quality activities
• Maintain knowledge of applicable government and industry quality standards

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field
• Hands-on experience with:

  • Control Plans
  • Corrective Action
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • SPC / Statistical Process Control
  • Quality audits and audit corrective actions
  • Manufacturing quality systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret manufacturing and quality data and turn findings into corrective action
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to operations teams and management
• Strong organizational and project-management skills
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel , including PivotTables

The Right Person

We're looking for someone who doesn't simply document quality problems—they investigate them, determine why they happened, and help prevent them from happening again.

You should be comfortable working directly with manufacturing operations, production employees, suppliers, customers, and management to solve quality problems and improve processes.

This position works in an active manufacturing environment where exposure to machinery, noise, oils, dirt, fumes, and other typical industrial conditions may occur.

Compensation

$70,000–$105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with our client.
