Our team is responsible for leading Transition to Production efforts for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) production, driving continuous improvement initiatives, root cause and corrective actions, and ensuring aerospace quality standards across Lockheed Martin sites and suppliers.What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing quality processes, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and supporting hybrid on‑site/remote operations. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.Basic QualificationsU.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance2 years of professional experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or a closely‑related disciplineBachelor’s degree or higher in a related STEM field Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemsProven experience with engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and mechanical/electrical inspection methods, including:Developing inspection plansPerforming First‑Article Inspections to AS9102 requirementsIdentifying, documenting, and driving corrective actions for supplier quality deficienciesAbility to travel approximately 25 % of the time and work on‑site in a manufacturing environment (must be able to stand for extended periods and use required Personal Protective Equipment)Desired SkillsWorking knowledge of MFC Apriso and P2P business systemsExperience with source inspection, special‑process surveys, purchase‑order reviews, and supplier surveillance activitiesDemonstrated leadership and customer‑relationship management abilitiesKnowledge and experience with casting and additive‑manufacturing toolingExperience with blue‑light/structured‑light inspectionPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
