Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license and telemetry experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Telemetry monitoring required

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; PALS also required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP management and oxygen administration
• Experience managing cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias
• Wound care and isolation precaution/PPE experience
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
• Completion of PA fingerprinting and ChildLine clearance within 48 hours of contract signing
• Completion of lab work within 72 hours of contract signing

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Support for orthopedic, ortho trauma, and total joint replacement patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Any previous permanent or per diem employment with the facility must be disclosed and must have ended at least 18 months prior to applying as a traveler
