Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and an active OH or compact RN license. Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required CPI certification required 2+ years of ER experience required Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and administering emergency medications and IV vasopressors Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV paralytics/sedation, and procedural sedation administration preferred Able to obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and manage multisystem organ dysfunction preferred 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or Supervisor and the second from a Charge RN or higher (no coworker references accepted) Responsibilities General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients Level I Trauma Center, STEMI-certified, and Stroke-certified facility Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM) Patient ratio of 1:3.5 Uses EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication dispensing Floating required Weekend rotation required (every other or every third weekend) Provide emergency care across a wide range of acute and critical conditions for adult and pediatric patients 36 hours of orientation provided Navy scrubs required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility Current employees are ineligible to be hired as travelers at this health system Mandatory Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed promptly after contract signing Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-772998 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
