Radiology candidates who accept a part-time or full-time position with University Hospitals are eligible for: Competitive hourly rate, additional compensation of $2 per hour for Cleveland Medical Center only, enhanced PTO for candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience, sign-on bonus ($10,000 for full-time or $5,000 for part-time), tuition reimbursement after six months, career ladder progression, and free parking. Part-time day shift position with rotating weekends and holidays, rotating call required. Consider new graduates. As a radiologic technologist, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging while helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience. You will work with patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics while collaborating closely with physicians and the care team.

In this role, you will adhere to hospital safety standards, adhere to ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely standards, adhere to all radiation and fluoroscopic safety standards, consistently follow hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety, consistently follow hospital and department SOPs, policies and protocols, demonstrate successful patient/technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, provide age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics, able to perform all applicable equipment quality control, accurately record all requested database/log records, display a commitment to hospital mission and core values, maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (HIPAA) and facility policies, and maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.

Your additional responsibilities will be effectively following directions to maintain compliance with state and federal agencies, maintaining competency skill levels for patient exam imaging, effectively following directions to maintain department readiness based on DNV standards, proficient at instructing students and new staff after 1 year of experience, must demonstrate the ability to work independently, use administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department by entering and completing correct billing codes in the RIS, and perform other duties as assigned. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain protected health information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH code of conduct, and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications: Education qualifications include an associate's degree and completion of an accredited 2-year program in a school of radiologic technology with appropriate certification. Experience qualifications include previous registered x-ray technologist experience (preferred). Skills and abilities include clear knowledge of x-ray equipment (digital/analog), image printers, computers, PACS, and radiology information system. Must demonstrate effective organizational, written and oral communication skills and excellent customer service skills. Uses a variety of equipment specific to the area, including C-arms, portables, and various computers. Must demonstrate effective organizational, written and oral communication skills. Licenses and certifications include registered technologist radiography (ARRT-R) American Registry of Radiological Technologists (required upon hire), registered radiologic technologist (RT:R) Ohio Department of Health (required upon hire), and basic life support (BLS) (required upon hire). Weekend/holiday rotation required for full and part-time positions.
