Accounts Receivable / Billing & Project Administrator

Join a collaborative accounting team supporting a well-established Vancouver builder. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining accounting, customer service, and project coordination while helping clients through each stage of the construction process. Youll play an important role in keeping projects moving by partnering with customers, lenders, and internal teams to manage billing milestones from start to finish.

What Youll Do

• Manage progress billing for residential construction projects based on predetermined milestones.
• Prepare customer completion statements and billing documents using Excel.
• Submit draw requests through lender portals and coordinate billing for cash customers.
• Process invoices and maintain accurate project documentation within the accounting system.
• Collect and post customer payments.
• Communicate with customers, lenders, and internal operations teams via phone and email to ensure timely processing of project draws.
• Assist with accounts payable and other accounting projects as needed, including year-end support.
• Cross-train with senior team members to provide coverage and ensure continuity within the department.
• Adapt to evolving processes and software enhancements while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.

What Were Looking For

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, accounting support, project administration, or a similar accounting role.
• Understanding of debits, credits, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.
• Strong Excel skills, including working with formulas and troubleshooting spreadsheets.
• Comfortable learning new software and adapting to changing processes.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience in construction, banking, lending, insurance, healthcare billing, or project-based billing is a plus.
• Intermediate Excel skills/formulas; experience with Google Workspace/Google Drive and construction or accounting software is a plus.

• Typical schedule is 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (or 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch).
