The Opportunity

This is a ground-floor opportunity to build a national digital deposit franchise for a federally chartered bank. As the first dedicated marketing hire for Axiom Digital, you will own the strategy, agency relationships, and performance marketing program that drives deposit growth nationally. You will work closely with executive leadership, including senior marketing advisors who bring deep experience in digital deposit acquisition, giving you both the authority to move and the strategic support to build the plan right from the start.

If you have scaled a deposit or consumer financial product acquisition program, managed performance marketing channels, and have the credibility to represent Axiom with agencies and industry partners, this role was designed for you.

What You'll Own

Strategy & Growth

• Build and scale a high-performance marketing team from the ground up, including defining roles, establishing hiring criteria, and creating a culture of accountability, intellectual curiosity, and continuous improvement where great work is recognized
• Serve as a player-coach in the early stages: close enough to execution to set the creative bar and make quality calls on channel strategy, while building the team and systems that allow you to operate at a more strategic altitude over time
• Own the national digital deposit growth strategy- defining target segments, value proposition, and the full-funnel marketing plan from launch through Year 2 optimization
• Set and manage performance KPIs including cost per funded account, conversion rates, and channel-level efficiency with weekly reporting to executive leadership
• Build the business case and roadmap for expanding from performance marketing into brand, content, and paid channels as the product and channels mature
• Serve as the voice of the customer in cross-functional conversations: use first-party data from the marketing funnel to influence decisions about account opening flow, identity verification steps, and in-app communication with a shared goal of improving completion and funding rates over time

Channel & Agency Management

• Manage the ongoing agency relationship across paid search, display, retargeting, and creative - holding partners accountable to delivery and performance targets
• Own affiliate publisher relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 comparison sites and personal finance publishers, negotiating CPA terms and managing placement quality
• Oversee branded and generic paid search campaigns across Google and Bing, including keyword strategy, bid management, and ad copy optimization
• Build and manage the email lifecycle program, including welcome series, account funding nudges, and rate communications, in partnership with the Martech and operations teams
• Establish an attribution methodology, reporting cadence, and KPI dashboard to support real-time visibility into channel performance for executive leadership
• Manage the annual marketing budget and forecast across channels- ensuring team is operating at or above plan.

Brand, Creative & Compliance

• Lead development of the Axiom Digital brand identity, value proposition, messaging framework, and marketing claims, ensuring all materials are grounded in Axiom's brand and clear compliance review
• Establish a marketing asset review process with Legal and Compliance, including a claims matrix governing rate, FDIC, and fee-related statements
• Partner with the web team to design and launch a dedicated digital banking landing page and origination funnel, with conversion tracking and retargeting infrastructure in place at launch

Who You Are

Required Experience

• 8–12 years of growth and performance marketing experience, with at least 4 years in digital banking, fintech, or consumer financial services deposit or savings products
• Proven track record of building and developing high-performing marketing teams - attracting strong talent, setting a high bar for output, and creating an environment where people grow quickly and do their best work
• Recognized as a visionary leader who sets a clear direction, earns trust through transparency and follow-through, and brings a team along on a mission rather than simply directing activity
• Demonstrated track record of owning performance marketing programs across paid search and affiliate channels for a consumer financial product from launch through optimization
• Direct experience managing affiliate publisher relationships with Tier 1 comparison sites, including strong understanding of CPA models, rate table placement dynamics, and editorial versus paid positioning
• Experience running a full agency RFP and managing ongoing agency performance against clearly defined KPIs
• Strong analytical fluency: comfortable in Google Ads, GA4, and attribution reporting tools; able to construct and present a performance narrative to executive stakeholders
• Working familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements for marketing in a federally chartered bank environment

Preferred

• Experience launching a digital deposit or consumer banking product from zero, not just scaling an existing program
• Prior experience in a lean, build-from-scratch marketing environment where product quality, digital experience and rate were the primary conversion levers

Working Conditions

This is a remote position (EST hours preferred). Monthly travel to Maitland, Florida is required for executive alignment, milestone reviews, and team collaboration. Additional travel may be required for industry events and partner meetings.

The approximate base salary range for this position is $200,000-$240,000, commensurate with experience.
