Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

The Registered Nurse – Emergency Room provides immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions or trauma in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role requires rapid assessment, critical thinking, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team to stabilize patients and deliver lifesaving interventions. Key Responsibilities Perform rapid and accurate assessment of emergency patients to determine severity and immediate care needs. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed. Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition. Assist physicians and emergency medical staff during diagnostic tests, procedures, and emergency interventions. Document patient care, treatments, and observations thoroughly and accurately. Provide education and emotional support to patients and families during emergency situations. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and emergency care standards. Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and supplies. Participate in emergency drills and continuous professional development. Required Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or acute care. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Experience in emergency nursing or critical care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) License – active and in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) – required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
