Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each step with empathy and understanding
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring physicians to provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical malfunctions
• Accurately record procedures and manage patient documentation within the electronic medical records system
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
