Compensation: New hires for this position typically start between $ 21.79 and $27.24 hourly , depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions . While the full pay range is provided to support pay transparency, individual compensation will vary within the range based on these factors. W hat you ' ll do The Accounts Receivable Clerk II is responsible for preparing and processing claims and invoices for the business unit; pursue collection of all claims until payment is received. This position maintains the business units and client financial records, and performs other work associated with the billing process. PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage client accounts; prepare accurate invoices and statements, claim generation and submission, collection and posting of payments. • Identify and resolve patient billing questions and issues. • Use assertive follow-up techniques with payers, providing information, corrections and problem resolution. • Post payments and adjustments to ensure accurate balances. • Reconcile insurance remittances and payments, research claim denials and generate claims corrections. • Provide accurate billing reports to management and administrative staff. • Responsible for the timely submission of all patient billings to payers. • Correct and resubmit billing denials and errors to payers and Accounting department. • Identify and resolve any trends for non-payment of claims, communicating all issues to the Accounting Supervisor and the Business Unit Director. • Identify and resolve all credit balances or refunds. Completes month end process to Accounting in a timely manner. Participate in education activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
