About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Fund Accounting to lead strategic operations in a dynamic, client-focused environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the compliance, accuracy, and alignment of fund accounting activities with organizational goals. This role involves driving impactful client relationships, overseeing audits, tax filings, and financial reporting, and mentoring and managing teams to maintain operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a CPA certification preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in alternative investment management, including hedge funds and private equity. Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include serving as the primary client lead, guiding teams in delivering high-quality fund accounting services, and contributing to leadership initiatives. The role also requires a commitment to ESG and diversity initiatives, as well as the ability to enhance processes through stakeholder collaboration and ensure agility and sustainability in a global landscape. Proficiency in fund accounting, compliance, and financial reporting processes is essential, as is a strong leadership and organizational skill set to manage multiple engagements effectively. The candidate should be familiar with accounting tools and have exceptional communication skills to foster both client relationships and team collaboration. Experience in mentoring teams and driving operational success in a hybrid work environment is also a key requirement.
