Position Highlights Competitive Compensation, based on experience Salary Range – $90,000.00–105,000.00 Excellent Benefits Package Employees enjoy an excellent work/life balance and generous PTO packages Weekends are required on a rotational basis Relocation expenses available Direct Hire Full Time – Days Special Needs Unit Setting: Long Term Care Reports to: Director of Nursing Supervises: CNA Trainees, CNAs, Senior CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and Unit Clerks Location: Geneva, New York (NYS beautiful Finger Lakes region) Join this career enhancement role where your skills will flourish, and your contributions will make a real difference in the lives of patients Responsibilities Interpersonal skills which ensure effective communication with staff, patients, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team Knowledgeable in management systems and processes; demonstrated ability to establish effective work relationships and lead others toward meeting organizational objectives Analytical skills to assess departmental needs, develop and implement planned interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of applied interventions Basic management competencies for the position Ability to facilitate project management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance teamwork through effective role modeling Familiarity with DOH requirements Computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint; preferred experience with Microsoft Office products and Meditech Major responsibility for implementation of strategies and activities designed to achieve and support uncompromising quality, exceptional patient safety, and an outstanding patient/resident/family experience Create an environment that fosters staff development, empowerment, collegial relationships, and best practice in nursing care Allocate resources to promote efficient, effective, compassionate, and fiscally responsible nursing care Coordinate care across department lines through systems that promote inter‑disciplinary collaboration and communication Participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel; oversee orientation, education, credentialing, and continuing professional development for staff Supervises: CNA Trainees, CNAs, Senior CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and Unit Clerks Qualifications Must have at least 2 years recent manager experience in an LTC Facility (Special Needs Unit experience preferred) Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program Current NYS License to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse Two years of Nursing experience or Two years of Long Term Care experience; supervisor or management experience a plus Customer Focus They are dedicated to creating a healing environment.
