Inventory Specialist

Inventory Specialist We are hiring an experienced Inventory Control / Stand-Up Forklift Operator to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse environment. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, performing cycle counts, and safely operating a stand-up/order picker forklift. The ideal candidate has previous inventory and cycle counting experience, is comfortable working with numbers, and can work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and varying hours. Previous stand-up forklift experience and cycle counting experience are required. Responsibilities Perform accurate inventory counts and cycle counts Conduct inventory audits and investigate discrepancies Verify product quantities, locations, and inventory records Use a stand-up forklift/order picker to move and locate products Safely operate material handling equipment in a warehouse/freezer environment Pull, move, and stage inventory as needed Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged product Follow all warehouse safety, quality, and inventory procedures Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy Assist with general warehouse duties as needed Qualifications Previous inventory control experience required Previous cycle counting experience required Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift required Order picker forklift experience preferred Strong math and numerical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to accurately count and verify inventory Comfortable working with inventory systems and warehouse documentation Ability to safely operate equipment in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Schedule Flexibility Candidates must be flexible and available to work varying hours, including: Day shifts Night shifts Weekends Changing schedules based on business needs Work Environment Work is performed in a freezer/very cold warehouse environment Appropriate cold-weather gear and safety equipment will be provided Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting Must be comfortable working around powered industrial equipment Required Experience Required: Inventory control Cycle counting Stand-up forklift operation Strong math/numerical skills Flexible availability Preferred: Order picker forklift experience Cold storage or freezer warehouse experience RF scanner or warehouse management system experience EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
