Compensation $20.00–$25.00 per hour & Uncapped Weekly Bonus Program - Earn a performance bonus for every four (4) successful hires each week - average monthly. No cap on bonus earnings. The more quality clinicians you recruit and successfully place, the more you earn. Position Summary The Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for delivering highly qualified travel nurses, allied healthcare professionals, and per diem clinicians to healthcare facilities throughout Tennessee/South East. This includes sourcing, interviewing, screening, credentialing, onboarding, negotiating compensation packages, presenting candidates to clients, and managing the recruitment process from initial contact through successful placement. This position works closely with our Scheduling, Credentialing, Payroll, and Client Services teams to ensure healthcare professionals are successfully placed and begin assignments on time while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Essential Responsibilities Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Recruit, interview, screen, and hire qualified healthcare professionals including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Allied Health professionals, and medical support staff. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of travel, contract, and per diem clinicians. Source candidates through Indeed, social media, referrals, networking, career fairs, and additional recruiting platforms. Generate referrals from current and former healthcare professionals. Build long-term relationships with candidates throughout their careers. Present qualified candidates to healthcare facilities. Negotiate compensation packages and assignment details. Consistently meet or exceed established recruiting and hiring goals. Accurately document recruiting activity within applicant tracking and staffing systems. Client & Staffing Coordination Work closely with Hospital Account Managers and Staffing Coordinators regarding open positions, candidate availability, assignment changes, and client priorities. Recruit for both travel and per diem staffing requests. Understand and effectively communicate each client’s specific requirements. Assist with filling open client orders quickly and efficiently. Maintain ongoing communication with clinicians before, during, and after assignments. Credentialing & Compliance Coordinate with the Credentialing Department to ensure clinicians complete onboarding requirements. Verify licenses, certifications, references, background checks, drug screens, and required documentation. Ensure healthcare professionals are fully compliant before placement. Assist with orientation scheduling and onboarding activities. Ensure travelers begin assignments on time. Marketing & Relationship Building Promote NURSEFirst through community events, networking opportunities, social media, and referral programs. Build lasting relationships with healthcare professionals and client facilities. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate employee records and recruiting documentation. Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, applicant tracking systems, and staffing software. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with all office departments. Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Outstanding customer service and relationship-building abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Positive, persuasive, and energetic personality Strong attention to detail Excellent follow-up skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team Professional phone etiquette Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to maintain confidentiality Basic understanding of healthcare terminology Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining professionalism Education High School Diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Experience 1–3 years of recruiting experience required Healthcare staffing or healthcare recruiting experience strongly preferred Experience in staffing, human resources, sales, customer service, marketing, or business development is highly desirable Physical Requirements Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and frequently lift up to 10 pounds. Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer. Frequent use of keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Work is performed in a professional office environment with frequent interaction with employees, applicants, clients, and the public.
