The Generalist provides HR support services to employees in the areas of benefits, policies, and payroll and supports locations as a subject matter expert with recruiting, benefit administration, compensation planning, HRIS guidance, and HR related special projects. They also support leadership teams in regards to recruiting and selecting top candidates for open positions.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide Human Resources support services to employees in the areas of benefits, policies, and payrollSupport recruiting and staffing activities, including diversity and affirmative action effortsCounsel and advise supervisors and managers regarding company policies and procedures, and all aspects of employment lawMaintain data in HRIS system and personnel recordsAdminister attendance program and leave management, to include attendance tracking system, FMLA, Salary Continuance, and STD/LTDFacilitate pre-employment assessment, new employee onboarding, separation process, benefit open enrollment, and other employee related activitiesCoordinate events and activities that target employee engagement and recognitionFacilitate training and development sessionsProvide support with performance management systemAdminister worker's compensation claim managementEducation & Experience QualificationsMinimum:High school diploma or equivalent3 years of Human Resources experienceKnowledge and application of employment lawsKnowledge and application of benefit plansPreferred:Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in Human Resources, Psychology, or related fieldHuman Resources experience in a manufacturing environmentThe benefits are just as rewarding as the work at BlueScope.
